Neon+ V6, decoded

The Neon+ V6 is a 786 g portable projector with 1280 × 800 native resolution, 600 ANSI lumens and a 1.2:1 throw ratio. It uses Texas Instruments DLP and an Osram RGB-LED light source. The V6 has no built-in battery, so it operates from the supplied 19V power adapter rather than as a cable-free unit.

The V6 technical exhibit keeps physical size, lens, power and connection checks within one model record.

Image specification

Native resolution describes the pixel grid used to form the projected image. For the V6, that grid is 1280 × 800. Brightness is stated as 600 ANSI lumens. Those figures are useful starting points, but the visible result still depends on ambient light, image size, projection surface and viewing distance. BenQ Malaysia’s general guidance likewise treats room light and image size as part of a brightness decision.

Native resolution is the clearest starting point for text and interface work because it describes the V6's own pixel grid. The 600 ANSI-lumen figure still needs a room condition beside it. Compare small text at the intended image size with the lights set for ordinary use.

Placement and throw

The verified throw ratio is 1.2:1. Throw ratio relates projection distance to image width, so it helps a buyer estimate whether the intended image can fit from the available position. Measure the clear distance from lens position to wall, account for walkways and furniture, and confirm the calculation in the actual room before fixing a mount or rearranging a teaching area.

A 1.2:1 throw ratio means a 2 metre-wide image needs roughly 2.4 metres from lens to image plane before practical clearances are considered. This example applies to the verified V6 ratio only. Measure the actual lens position and test the room before fixing furniture or a mount.

Connections and platform

The V6 specification lists dual-band 2.4G and 5G Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, Ethernet and TF-card support up to 32 GB. It runs Android 9.0 and supports DLP-LINK 3D with shutter glasses. Connection support does not guarantee that every app, file format, adapter or protected streaming service will behave the same, so test the exact source device and content path you plan to use.

The listed ports describe physical connection options, not universal compatibility. HDMI 2.0, USB 2.0, Ethernet and TF-card support each need an appropriate source, cable and content format. Dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0 likewise require a test with the intended network and device.

Size, power and the box

The device measures 220 × 127 × 46 mm and weighs 786 g. Packaged, it is listed at 1.81 kg in a 274 × 177 × 103 mm box. It has no built-in battery and uses a 19V / 3.42A DC adapter. The supplied box contents are the V6, remote, power adapter, tripod, power cord, HDMI cable and instruction card.

The V6's portability includes its external power chain. The 786 g projector must travel with the 19V / 3.42A adapter and any source cables. The supplied list names a remote, tripod, power cord, HDMI cable and instruction card; confirm the current box contents on the quote.

Price and ownership checks

The captured August 2026 price was RM3,800. Treat that as a dated reference and ask the team to confirm the current price and availability. The stated local warranty is 365 days for manufacturing defects, with one-to-one replacement for product faults in warranty. Postal cost for a warranty return is borne by the customer, while negligence, mishandling and misuse are excluded.

RM3,800 is the captured August 2026 reference, not a standing offer. A current quote should sit beside the exact V6 sheet and state stock, included accessories and delivery. Keep the 365-day warranty wording and customer-paid return-postage condition with the invoice.

  • Confirm the current price
  • Keep proof of purchase
  • Ask how a fault is assessed
  • Clarify return transport before buying

A useful demo

A useful demonstration uses your own source device and typical content. View small text, motion and a dark scene; listen for fan noise and test the intended audio route separately; then set the lights as they will be in daily use. If the projector must move, handle the unit, power adapter, tripod and cables together so the portability decision includes the complete working kit.

A useful V6 test uses a laptop or phone, normal classroom or meeting-room light, small text, a fine diagram, motion and a dark scene. Listen for fan noise and test the intended audio route separately. Record the result from the front and back of the room.
